Three SLO County wrestlers will be competing in the CIF State wrestling meet this weekend.
We've already featured Morro Bay heaveyweight Jerome Long in this week's edition of "Athlete of the Week." The other two — 160-pounder Jordan Rubio of Arroyo Grande and 189-pounder Jack Robinett of Atascadero — will be featured in an edition of the paper later this week.
But if you've ever wondered what any one of these three guys looks like on the wrestling mat, good thing you read this blog, and good thing the guys at FloWrestling.org covered Morro Bay's CIT tournament earlier this year.

Long won his division at the CIT, and cited Atascadero's Brett Hiatt as his toughest opponent that weekend. Robinett fell in the finals with a chance to tie late in the match and Rubio took a loss to the eventual champion in the semifinals.

HOW about some track who do you
think is going to win the pac 7?
HOW about, nobody cares. correction, i don't care, and i know what its like to have nobody care about my sport and i got over it... even though my team is much more talented and competitive in cif than any track team :) (true story)
Well, just for your information, track is a team for essentially leagure purposes so they can say it's a team. Other than that, it's all about individual efforts, going through to CIF divisional and masters meets. There are no TEAMS, just CONGLOMERATIONS. Capitols.
But as for track, Paso looks strong in sprinting with Nathan Nelson returning, SLO looks to be great in field events and long-distance but suck at everyhting else, AG looks to be as good as usual, but with a slight slip in throwing, St. Joes looks to be excellent in field events, MB looks to be good but not great, Templeton looks to be excellent in long-distance and all field events(especially with thrower Jusin Cutler[SUGA BEAR!] and sprinter/jumper Diahanne Williams), Nipomo looks to be very strong in throws, PV looks to suck, Atasadero looks to be even with Templeton i track events, but slightly lacking in field, and Cabrillo looks to have a slew of great sprinters.

Oh, and Paso will win the Pac-7, and it's a little too close to call for the LPL between St. Joe's and Templeton.
